How we protect your privacy and personal information:

  • We take physical, electronic, contractual, and procedural measures that comply with laws and regulations.
  • We train our employees to protect customer information. All employees must abide by the Bank’s Security Policy.
  • We maintain policies and procedures that provide for the proper physical security of workspaces and records.
  • We offer our employees and clients a secure email technology that allows data to be encrypted and travel safely through the Internet. See our client communication on Secure Messenger™.
  • We require contractors and other companies that provide services on our behalf to protect customer information. We prohibit those companies from using this information for any other purposes. For further information, please refer to our Privacy Notice.

Securing Your Identity

What to do if you suspect your information has been stolen:
  • Contact your financial institution and credit card companies.

  • Close the affected accounts and open new ones with new personal identification numbers and passwords.
  • Contact the local police department. Ask to file a miscellaneous incident report. Even if the police does not catch the criminal, having a police report can help you clear up your credit records. Ask for the case number and copy of the report.
  • Contact related businesses. Contact those businesses that have opened accounts in your name without your permission. Close the accounts and let the businesses know that these accounts were opened fraudulently. Make sure you communicate with the businesses in writing.
  • Call the Social Security Fraud Hotline. Immediately report that your card has been lost or stolen by calling the Hotline at (800) 269-0271.
  • Report stolen checks. If your checks have been stolen or misused, stop all payments by calling your Relationship Manager.
  • Notify the Federal Trade Commission by calling 877-ID-THEFT (877-438-4338) or
  • Notify one of the three major credit bureaus. Call the toll-free number of any of the three major credit bureaus to place a fraud alert on your credit report. This can help prevent an identity thief from opening additional accounts in your name. Once the credit bureau confirms your fraud alert, the other two credit bureaus will automatically be notified.

Security and Online Banking

Online Security

Our Online Banking system brings together a combination of industry-approved security technologies to protect data for the bank and for you, our customer. It features password-controlled system entry, a DigiCert High Assurance EV CA-1 certificate for the bank’s servers, Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocol for data encryption and multiple layers of firewall protection to regulate and monitor both inbound and outbound traffic.

Secure Access and Verifying User Authenticity

To begin a session with the bank’s server the user must key in a User ID and a Password. The Internet Banking System uses a lock-out mechanism to prevent an unauthorized user from accessing your accounts. Upon successful login, users are assured their communications with the bank are secured using a DigiCert’s EV digital certificate. Additionally, the Bank will require that all users establish unique authentication information that will be used to validate the customer’s identity.

Secure Data Transfer

All communications established between the user and the Bank’s servers travel over a 128 bit or higher SSL encrypted data tunnel, ensuring that your privacy is protected. DigiCert offers Extended Validation (EV) certificates that provide a greater degree of online confidence. EV Certificates provide additional trust to consumers and cardholders because they activate a green address bar in web browsers whenever an SSL session is established with the issuing bank’s EV-validated site.
